Lax Bash Auction Items & Volunteers -
Jan 11, 2012
It is another year and we are preparing for the 2012 Lacrosse Bash on February 4th at the Tartan Country Club. It will be another fun night of socializing, gambling and silent auction.
This event would not be possible without the generous support from each of our lacrosse families. Each year we ask each family to donate an item to the auction. Every donation we receive is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible.
The donations can be dropped off at Cyndi Lima's house at 10569 Mackenzie Way any time before January 27. Cyndi can be reached at 315-4338 if you have any questions.
If possible it is very helpful if the donation items are dropped off in a basket or container and items are listed. Please, also have the name of the family donating the item. If the item was donated by a business and secured by a family, please note this with the basket as well. We catalog every item and we want to give all families and businesses credit for their donations. Tax deductible forms will be available for each donation.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with coordinating the items and setting up the event. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact, Sue Isele at 201-961-3436 or Cyndi Lima at 614-315-4338.
Thanks again for supporting this event.

Christmas Charity Event -
Dec 12, 2011Thank you to all those that have volunteered gifts and their time! ~~ It is greatly appreciated.
Couple followup items:
Gifts/Gift Cards (unwrapped) need to be dropped off in the Commons at DJHS THIS THURSDAY @ 3:00. We will be taking them down on Friday so that they are ready first thing on Saturday when all the families arrive.
Please also remember to bring a snack or drink on Saturday to share with all those volunteering.
If your Son still needs a ride, please email me and I will arrange for someone to take them. There are many cars that are going at all different times.
And ~ Remember your elf hats ~ They love it when we wear them.
As discussed at our last get together.....
Each year around the Holiday, we choose to reach out and help those in need. As we did last year, we will be working with the Christmas Store in German Village, 946 South Parsons Avenue (at the corner of Parsons Ave and Whittier). This year the demand is so high that families in need started lining up at 3:00 in the morning and they reached capacity way before the need was met. If you've never been part of this before; it is an incredible opportunity for all of us. We will be there to help set up on Friday, and on Saturday we will be elves that help families get the things they need, wrap, and assist with the babysitting.
This requires two things:
1. A gift (unwrapped) or gift card for a boy 8 - 12 years old (this year they are in extra need in this area). Please plan on spending up to $20
2. Each player (parents are needed and welcome too) should volunteer for at least one of the following shifts.
SHIFT 1 -- Friday, Dec 16th -- anytime between 9:00 and 3:00. This is when we need to get all our gifts down to them. This is also the shift that could use all our 'muscle help", as this is the set up shift. This is a great shift for the Seniors who have early dismissal.
SHIFT 2 -- Saturday, Dec 17th -- 1:00 to 3:00pm
SHIFT 3 -- Saturday, Dec 17th -- 3:00 to 5:00pm
Our contact at the Christmas Store has asked that our boys bring a small snack (donuts, bagels, chips) or drink (juice, gatorade, bottled water) to share with the shift's volunteers.
P.S. They also love it when we wear elf or holiday hats!!
Once we get a head count, I will let you know the specifics on gift drop off times and car pools.
Thank you!!
Merry Christmas
